Parts Lists

#1
I noticed that most of the circuits that you currently have on this site do not have any parts lists. Can we get somebody to fix this because the new people who come on this site may be turned away due to this. I feel that this site can be greatly improved if we give more help. The forums also seem a little bit unorganized and doesn't get used very much. A parts lists could help us bring upon some new, active members who can add to this community. Could Admin (Phil) perhaps work on this? Or just the parts list, since that would be very helpful. I even noticed that the admin of this forum hasn't posted in over 2 months, not a very good sign at all. If people who posted on these forums got more help more more often, it could become a great community. I only wish that my posts will be taken into consideration and can change thie forum for the better.

I've been helping out as much as I can but I'm no expert. Would be good to get a few experienced members to join because like you say the admin is not around much :)

With regards to your parts list idea, from what i've seen i think the admin's slowly updating circuits to have images, videos, and parts list. Some circuits (like flashing led) look nice and have parts list, and some look like they were done a few years back..

Hi Justin,

I've just updated the parts list for the metal detector circuit but have not yet made a video. I plan too but it may not be for a while. I do see that there is one on youtube from another member, it basically shows it working. Building the circuit is pretty easy apart from one thing, the inductor. You may want to research how to make that.

I do try to make it online to the forums but unfortunately my time is very limited these days. That's why I setup the forum partly to answer questions for visitors but to also allow other experienced EE's to help out also.

EMC2: Thanks for your help with the answers you're providing. You're doing a great job! And hopefully over time we get more experienced members like you.

Regards,
Phil

I've noticed you posting helpful hints for what you can do. You're a good help to this community for what it's worth. Hopefully we can all work to update some images or parts lists.

Thanks for the help, that was very fast. Do you know if or when there will be a video for it?
